Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including with screen readers, switches, magnifiers and voice control.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and level AAA where we can, for example for text contrast. As a private website we are not covered by the public sector accessibility regulations, but we follow the same approach voluntarily.
What you can do on this site
- Use the Display button on every page to choose one of three text sizes, high contrast, easier-reading spacing or reduced motion. Choices are saved on your device.
- Zoom to 400% without content being cut off or needing to scroll sideways, apart from wide data tables, which scroll inside their own box.
- Navigate with a keyboard or switch: every control can be reached with Tab, has a clear yellow-and-navy focus ring, and is at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Skip straight to the main content with the first link on each page.
- Use headings, landmarks and tables with proper headers to move around with a screen reader.
- Print any “What to look for” checklist on its own.
How the design supports reading
Body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute to make similar characters easier to tell apart. Headings use Lexend. Colour is never the only way information is shown: the game feature table uses words and shapes as well as colour.
Known limitations
- The game feature table is wide. On small screens it scrolls sideways inside its own region, with the game name column fixed in place.
- Links in the sources sections lead to external websites, whose accessibility we cannot control.
Testing approach
We check pages with automated tools and with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and screen reader software as part of each release.
Report a problem
If something does not work for you, please email [email protected] with the page address, your device and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five working days.
